Dental Bonding Philadelphia
A natural-looking solution for chipped teeth
With more than 25 years of experience as a top cosmetic dentist, Dr. Siegel can expertly provide you with perfectly-matched dental bonding as a solution for chipped or cracked teeth.
Dental bonding is a simple procedure that utilizes a composite, tooth-colored resin to cover flaws in the teeth.
A thin coating of dental adhesive is applied to the surface of the tooth. Then Dr. Siegel sculpts, colors and shapes the dental bonding material to provide a realistic correction that blends in with the natural color of the teeth.
A high-intensity light hardens the composite material and the surface is finely polished. The results are beautiful, natural-looking teeth.
What Can Dental Bonding Do?
- Repair chipped or cracked teeth
- Improve the appearance of discolored teeth
- Close spaces between teeth
- Make teeth look longer
- Change the shape of teeth
- Protect a portion of the tooth's root that has been exposed when gums recede
Dental Bonding, Porcelain Veneers or Dental Crowns?
For some of the above situations, porcelain veneers and dental crowns can be better solutions for cosmetic work than dental bonding. Dental bonding is usually a less expensive solution but does not resist stains as well as crowns or porcelain veneers and is not as strong.
